The Toys r’ Us list is stuffed with toys that are exclusively sold at their own stores.

The Walmart list focuses on toys under $25 for the cost conscious customer, but all the “Hottest” must-have toys aren’t under $25.

Many of the 100′s of Internet “Hot Toys for Christmas 2010″ web sites promote lists that include toys they make money recommending.

So which list can you trust?

The secret is you can trust them all – partly – as long as you understand their motives, and have a little more information to compare them with.

All of the lists have good research behind them, you just have to understand that and use their lists with a little common sense.

If you only see a toy on one list, maybe it is just a sales pitch, but if you see the same toy on many lists – then it probably is a “Hot Choice!”
